The best way to make sure your pet is at their ideal weight is not by actually weighing them, but by their Body Condition Score!

A Body Condition Score (BCS) chart lays out specific guidelines to help pet owners and professionals have a hands-on assessment of fat and muscle mass. It is either scored 1-5 or 1-9 depending on what chart you use.

Did you know that a dog has different ways of wagging its tail?! 
It was discovered that if a dog wags its tail to the right, it means its happy! But, when they wag their tail to the left, they are frightened. A low wag means they're insecure, and a rapid tail wag accompanied by tense muscles could signal aggression.

Some dogs are just naturally better swimmers than others.
The Lab Retriever is one of those breeds, along with the Newfoundland. But did you know that these great swimmers have a leg up on the others as they have webbed feet?!
How cool is that!

Did you know that Chihuahuas are born with a soft spot, just like a human baby?! It hardens up as they age and is called a molera. In babies, this spot is called a fontanelle.

NO it's not a fever, yes that is normal! Believe it or not, dogs resting body temperature is between 101 and 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Comparatively, human's is between 97.7–99.5 °F. 🌡
