Did you know?

A large breed dog’s resting heart beats between 60-100 times per minute, and a small dog breed’s between 100-160. In comparison to humans, their heartbeats 60-100 times per minute. ❤️

Did you know?

The American English Coonhound was in fact bred to hunt raccoons (hence the name). This particular coonhound specializes in hunting raccoons and foxes 🦊. Their unique ability to climb trees makes them the perfect candidate for chasing raccoons!

Fun Fact Friday! 🐶

The Irish Wolfhound is the tallest dog breed out there! Therefore making them the largest of the sighthounds. The best part is that they are known to also be the gentlest of all giants, great with dogs, kids and family in general.

Fact!

Studies have shown that dogs actually align themselves with the earth’s magnetic field before defecating (pooping). Apparently, they prefer to face north or south before doing their business....Now that's a fact you couldn't have gone without knowing 😛

Your dog can be as smart as a 2-year-old toddler! Dogs are able to learn almost the same number of words, border collies topping the charts of intelligence, followed by Poodles, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Dobermans.

Did you know? 

The beloved Duck Tolling Retriever can scream! There extremely high pitched bark sounds like screaming. They typically save this sound for situations that get them really excited. For people who don't know this about the breed, it can sound quite frantic. You can train your Toller not to scream...but it takes time.

Researchers found that you can catch a distracted puppies attention when you speak to them in sing-song tones. They also respond well to high pitch baby talk. Their studies showed that puppies responded better to cooing than to humans who were using their regular voice.
